Music
|
| Through the centuries the Lutheran Church has maintained a rich musical tradition vital to its worship and spiritual life. From the music used in the liturgy in Sunday worship to more informal settings, music has been and integral part of the church's life and mission. |
Friedens Lutheran Church has continued the rich musical tradition of the Lutheran Church. We have not forgotten the wonderful musical heritage of traditional church music, while at the same time making use of the best of contemporary musical styles and sounds. Our musical groups include a Senior Choir, Junior Choir, Cherub Choir, a Handbell Choir, and Handchimes played by our youth. |
Our mission as musicians is to use music to help bring people to faith in God and his Son, Jesus Christ, and to strengthen that faith in those who have already made a commitment to that faith. We hope to show forth God's love to others through out music, and help to draw others into participation in the church's life and work. |
Music is truly "the language of the soul" in the Lutheran Church. You are cordially welcomed to let the language of music speak to your soul in Friedens Church.

Bell Choir - CARILLONAIRES
|
The Carillonaires is a hand bell choir that began ringing in October 1990 with two octaves of Malmark hand bells. Several years later a third octave was added. Since then three octaves of choir chimes have been added, which are used by the Carillonaires and the youth choir. Our adult hand bell choir consists of ten ringers and one director.
Our goal is to enhance the music program at Friedens by playing a bell selection a minimum of once monthly from October through Mothers Day. We add to the major Christian holidays by performing during the Easter and Christmas Eve services. |
Over the years we have provided Christian outreach by performing at neighboring churches and by providing entertainment at banquets. We have also added music to wedding ceremonies.
We practice every Tuesday evening from 7 to 8:30. Anyone interested in joining us should contact Barbara Sands at (610) 488-7132. No musical experience is necessary. |
